Loki began pacing about his palace, clearly frustrated.
He thought he could be calmed by the rhythm of his heels clicking on the hard, marble floors, but it only proved to be an additional headache. I can't believe this. He seethed silently, and to no avail did he calm himself down. What must a king do?
Sigyn walked along an endless corridor of Loki's palace, suprised he had called for her. It had been days since their last encounter, and she didn't expect he would actually do it. She went round a corner, and finally saw him.
He didn't seem to be very amused. I hope I'm not the cause… Sigyn sighed, taking a few steps until she was in front of him and cleared her throat.
Loki looked up to see her standing before him, looking somewhat apprehensive. He took a deep breath and sighed, unsure of what to say. "I… hope you are… well?" His thought was that once he saw her, his anger would flee, but that wasn't the case. Instead, he had to mask his indignation and hope that she wouldn't realise it.
She looked up to him, trying to meet his gaze. "I…yes, I'm fine." she answered, not knowing if she should draw closer to him or not. There was this awkwardness that surrounded him… Sigyn was sure his behaviour hadn't changed since the last time she'd seen him.
"Are you alright, my Lord? Is there a special reason why you called for me?" Sigyn decided she would try the polite way to find out what was happening with him. So she flashed an innocent smile.
Shrugging, he sat down on the marble bench that ran along the wall. "I just… wanted to see you." he mentioned, half-heartedly. "We didn't speak after that night, and I felt as if you'd like some sort of closure on the matter."
It was awkward for Loki to get out what he really wanted to say. He loved women. He really did… but it was the strict definition of the sort of relationship that he wanted was what he loathed.
Two minutes with him and he'd already managed to surprise her, again. She sat down next to him on the bench, and tried to swallow her surprise. she muttered something like "That's… nice…" under her breath. She wasn't used to be caught so off-guard. Sigyn began to play with a tuft of her hair. "I mean, it's alright, it's…" she made a gesture with her hand, as if to play down the matter. "I just didn't expect it…" I'm behaving like a total dumbass right now, she thought.
Loki appreciated the small connection that she made between them as she played with his hair, but instead of letting her continue, he turned his head away. "Look," he began. "Where do you think we are in terms of our relationship?"
He found it increasingly difficult to find the words to soften his intention. He did care for her, but not enough to take care of her.
"What?" Sigyn snapped out of her mumbling-around-state and looked at Loki with her eyes wide open, even though he was looking away. What was he saying about relationship? Did she miss something?
"What do you mean with… where do I think we are?" she asked slowly. "I mean… the other night was a hell of a night, with a lot of fun and everything… but, it was one night…" She couldn't call something a relationship with just one night of passionate sex.
Loki began pacing about his palace, clearly frustrated.
she sighed in relief and leaned against the cold wall, following Loki's example. "Wow. No. Between lust and love are worlds. There can be lust without love. I find it hard to believe there can be love without lust though, but that's something different." she added quickly, speaking more to herself than actually to Loki.
She laughed, looking at him again. Sigyn delicately took his chin so he would face her. "No, you can be sure you will need more than one night to obsess me." she said, winking at him.
Loki nodded. "Love without lust… How do you think old people are, then?" He grimaced, chuckling softly. "Never mind, actually. I talk too much. Ignore that statement." He was genuinely relieved to hear that he did not have to deal with any sort of nonsense this time.
She make him look at her as she spoke soft, suggestive words. "One and done, dearest." He admitted, shaking his head and smirking.
She threw an incredulous look at him, ignoring completely what he'd said about him talking too much. "Come on… there has to be something left. And old people are a different universe." Sigyn said, smirking. She was truly astonished by those old couples and thought she would never be able to be with somebody that long.
"Do you feel better now?" she asked, her fingers still holding Loki's face in place.
He shrugged, taking Sigyn's hand and placing it back into her lap. "I wouldn't say better, but it was nice to be distracted for a bit." Loki yawned and stood up, trying to stretch away his exhaustion. He didn't feel like thinking about his previous issues. Not yet, at least. Quickly, and in a manner that was anything except nonchalant, he changed the subject. "Is there anything you'd like to say?"
Sigyn observed him while he stood up, crossing her legs. He was fully dressed, with the armour and even the helmet. She raised her eyebrows at his last question.
"Don't you ever get tired of wearing that damn helmet?" she gestured at it. "And the armour? I mean, no doubt, it's really impressive, but then you wonder why you have those beautiful knots in your back, and I have to massage the hell out of you…"
Loki raised his hand up to rub on one of the horns on his helmet. "I like my helmet…" he said pitifully. "And sometimes things happen that require ultimate preparedness… One cannot waste time on little things such as having to run off to put armour on." He paused. "Besides, I thought you quite liked the result of our little rendezvous."
Sigyn smiled at his sight. How fond he was of his helmet amused her in a funny way.  She nodded, listening to his words. "So you expect something to happen now?" she asked, quite interested in what he was saying. His next words, though, made her shrug and bite her lip. "Oh, and you didn't." she said, her voice full of sarcasm. "You know, if I have to massage you again, be sure I won't be so gentle…"
"Actually, I expect nothing to happen." he admitted. "I'm just too lazy to take everything off at the moment." He attempted to lift the chest piece, but dropped it in a spat of fake weakness. "See? I just can't do it."
Giving her one final look, Loki sighed. "I should be heading off, however. Much to do tomorrow." He yawned and patted Sigyn on the shoulder. "I suppose I'll be seeing you around?"
she laughed, shaking her head. "For the God of Lies, you are a pretty crappy liar sometimes." She stood up when he patted her shoulder, halfway smiling. "You suppose well. However, if there's something very urgent, call me." Now that she was on her feet, she was inches away from Loki's face. She simply couldn't resist to do it. "You know, like you need help with your very heavy chest piece or something." Her lips brushed against his, and she softly patted his chest.
